Before the start of the World Cup season, national soccer player Maximilian Arnold is puzzled about his status with national coach Hansi Flick.
“After my international matches in November we were in contact again, but I don’t know exactly where I stand,” said the Wolfsburg player to the “kicker”.
The 28-year-old added: “If that doesn’t work, then I’ll keep my fingers crossed in front of the television.”
The three-time international came on as a substitute in the World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein (9-0) and Armenia (4-1) last fall. However, Arnold was absent from the international matches in March as well as from the Nations League games in June.
