Arno on 1 in the Radio 1 Classics 1000

Since Friday morning, it was possible to vote for the twenty songs that were at the top of the list after the first round of voting. ‘Les Yeux de Ma Mère’ came in at number one, followed by Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here’, which knocked ‘Stairway to Heaven’ off the throne for the first time last year. Martha’ by Tom Waits finishes in third place.

There is no other Belgian music group in the top 10. Arno has been suffering from pancreatic cancer for some time, but recently performed in the Kursaal in his hometown of Ostend, where he is also an honorary citizen.
