Sixth newcomer
Arminia Bielefeld is strengthening with Benjamin Kanuric (19) from SK Rapid Vienna. The East Westphalia reported on Wednesday. The midfielder made his professional debut last season and made two brief appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga. For Rapid, Kanuric ran mainly for the second team, in which he contributed six goals and nine assists in 48 games. In addition, Kanuric is a member of Austria’s U19 national team, for which he has played 12 games (two goals) so far.
“In Benjamin we are gaining a young player with great development potential. Not only has he gone through all of Austria’s youth national teams, but at his young age he has already gained experience from 50 games in the first and second leagues of his home country. With his footballing skills and physical abilities, he has the best qualifications to become important for our team,” Bielefeld’s sporting director Samir Arabi commented on the signing of new signing number six for the new season.
