The sustainable Cologne-based fashion label Armedangels, which only added activewear to its range last year, wants to give used clothing items a longer life and will launch its own resell platform later this month, on which worn Armedangels products can be resold or recycled.
The label wants to counteract the trend that new items of clothing are only worn an average of seven to ten times before they are thrown away.
“Armedangels is thus contributing to the necessary change to wear clothes for as long as possible and with ‘Resell’ is clearly taking a stand against the biggest challenges in terms of resource wastage: environmental pollution and the social impact on producers and consumers,” explains the brand in a press release.
To do this, she works with the Berlin e-commerce service Reverse.supply: Customers can send in worn Armedangels clothing free of charge, which will then be forwarded depending on the condition. If it is broken, it is recycled, while items in good condition are offered for sale within the resell second-hand shop. In any case, the sender will receive a voucher for the Armedangels online shop.
The new resell platform, which will launch on March 22, is part of the company’s effort to become circular. His “Circular T-Shirts” and “Circular Denims” also contribute to this, as well as the “Trash to Fash” take-back system for recycling and the Armedangels Repair Guide.
