The McDonald’s branch on Hoenderkamp in Emmen was the target of an armed robbery on Monday evening around 10.15 pm.
This is reported by the police. Two men robbed the establishment at gunpoint. The perpetrators are on the run. They would have run off.
The police have started a Burgernet action and are looking for two men who are dressed in dark clothes and both have a sports bag with them. The two allegedly fled on foot.
It is currently unknown what exactly happened in the restaurant. A police spokesperson says that more information is not yet known.
The restaurant has closed its doors early. Bystanders report that there was a lot of police in the Hoenderkamp and the surrounding area.
