Armed robbery at Domino’s Coevorden branch, police are looking for suspect

The branch of pizza chain Domino’s on Stationsplein in Coevorden was shocked by a robbery this evening. A ‘skinny young man’ threatened the staff with a firearm or something similar at around 9.45 pm and then fled. It is not known whether anything was stolen.

Shortly after the robbery, a Burgenet report was distributed in which the police strongly indicated that the suspect should not be approached themselves. The man is said to be about 1.85 tall, dressed in a black leather jacket down to his hip and also wore a black scarf and a black hat.

After the incident, several police units were called in around Coevorden Station to look out for the suspect, who ran away across the bus lane after the robbery. He did this in the direction of the Ballast.
