A 60-year-old resident of an apartment complex on Hasseltstraat in Tilburg was attacked on Saturday morning. He opened the door of his apartment around 6 a.m. when the doorbell rang. Then two men broke into his apartment.
The men wanted drugs. They threatened the resident with a firearm and hit him on the head with it. The resident sustained a head injury.
Interfere in
When other residents of the apartment complex were awakened by the noise and began to interfere in the situation, the perpetrators fled.
The victim was taken to a hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
Loot
The perpetrators are estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old and were wearing dark clothes at the time of the robbery. It has not been disclosed whether they actually stole anything.
