The court in Den Bosch on Wednesday imposed a 40-month prison sentence on a 38-year-old man from Eindhoven for two armed robberies. On April 28 last year, Antonius P. struck twice in a short time with a knife at two shops in Best.
This involved branches of Kruidvat on Wilhelminaplein and a PLUS supermarket on Rendierhei.
In the Kruidvat he threatened the only employee present with the knife and demanded money. The employee then took off running and the robber left without taking any loot.
Amur a few minutes later the robber walked into the PLUS supermarket. He went to the service counter, threatened again with the knife and grabbed an amount of money from the cash register. The robber then fled on a bicycle.
In addition to a prison sentence, P. must pay the victims compensation of more than 1,500 euros.
