The operation early on Friday evening triggered considerable unrest among passengers. Children screamed in fear, passengers lay down on the ground.

All trains between the Tiergarten S-Bahn station and the main train station stood still. The federal police searched all compartments of three trains with drawn weapons. An hour later the all-clear was given.

No one with a weapon was found among the passengers. The trains started running again at 7 p.m.
