Fear and excitement early Friday evening in the S7. A man is said to have run through the S-Bahn with a gun at Bellevue S-Bahn station.
Train traffic was stopped immediately. Heavily armed federal police officers searched for the suspect – without success.
“Shortly after 6 p.m., the message came that there was a person with a weapon on a train on line S7,” said Alina Müller, spokeswoman for the Federal Police Directorate.
The operation early on Friday evening triggered considerable unrest among passengers. Children screamed in fear, passengers lay down on the ground.
All trains between the Tiergarten S-Bahn station and the main train station stood still. The federal police searched all compartments of three trains with drawn weapons. An hour later the all-clear was given.
No one with a weapon was found among the passengers. The trains started running again at 7 p.m.
