A masked man robbed a supermarket in Erkner (Oder-Spree district) on Wednesday evening and threatened two women with a pistol-like object.
The criminal entered the store shortly before closing time and went straight to the checkout, where he threatened two employees, a 25-year-old and a 28-year-old, and demanded money, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
After the women opened the cash register, the robber pocketed the money and fled. The two women remained uninjured.
Due to aggravated robbery, the criminal police are now investigating the identity of the perpetrator. The police cannot yet provide any information about the amount of cash stolen.
