Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani’s Armani Exchange line is coming to Milan to open its largest European flagship store, 30 years after the line was launched in New York.
The store is located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II shopping street in a building designed by Italian architect Gio Ponti, Armani said on Friday. As is typical for the Italian fashion house, the store itself was designed by founder Giorgio Armani and his team of architects. Armani Exchange’s selection is spread over two floors, which together offer a total area of 480 square meters.
“Every project related to Milan has a special meaning for me"said Giorgio Armani. “My world has no borders, but its center is here. This opening marks an important step in the history of the Armani Group and in the development of A|X Armani Exchange.”
In November, Armani Exchange opened a new store on Cologne’s Schildergasse shopping street.
