Armand Duplantis walked into the night victorious from Eugene.
PASI LEISMA
Armand Duplantis was Sweden’s hero on the closing day of the World Championships in Eugene. He improved his own ME score by a cent.
The Swede, who elevated himself to the pole vault elite, brought his girlfriend to tears with his record score of 621.
– I had already started to cry, but I hid it. I’m speechless. I don’t know how he does it, acting as a model Desiré Englander said for Aftonbladet.
The boyfriend immediately ran to carry his partner to the stands after his winning performance.
– I had to kiss him. It was necessary. He knows I don’t need to say more, Englander said.
Duplantis himself remembers almost nothing about his historic jump.
– It was crazy. I went crazy. I hardly remember anything. I don’t know what I did, I lost consciousness, the star commented to the Swedish media.

After the press conference, Duplantis went to celebrate with his loved ones.
Aftonbladet the video shows how he makes a spectacular entrance to the beat of his home country’s artist Avic at the party venue.
A bottle of sparkling pops open, and the Swede heads to the dance floor to dance.
– This is why we do this. When you do something really well, you can relax with your loved ones, Duplantis rejoiced.
