Presenter and documentarian Arman Alizad is piloting a new reality series My world.
The series, which starts on March 27, tells about the world of five charming young people aged 18–25, whose lives are at a kind of turning point.
What do dreams mean to a young adult and can they be achieved? How to break through as a designer in the fashion world? What does it take to release your first album? How does society accept a trans youth or a religious youth? How do you cope when a sudden illness changes your life? Arman raises questions about the world of young people in the 2020s and lets young people answer them themselves.
Aron Luokkala
Aron is a 23-year-old trans man from Helsinki. Aron is studying to be a screenwriter and works as an actor and performer. Aron has known since childhood that he is a man in a woman’s body and is going through a transition. Aron’s transition took a big turn when Aron had a mastectomy in December 2022.
Mauro Severino
Mauro is a 24-year-old soccer player and fashion designer. Mauro is from Angola, from where he moved to Tampere and from there to Helsinki when he was young. Mauro is very family-oriented and comes from a large family. In the series, Mauro strives to make a breakthrough in the fashion world by working and sewing at home for many hours – nights and days – while passionately training football alongside his official day job. Mauro is also a familiar face To the top of fashion from the program.
Hanna Haavisto
Hanna is a 19-year-old young woman from Tampere. Hanna was born into a very religious family and Christianity is a very important part of Hanna’s life. Hanna spends a lot of her free time at church with her friends. In the series, Hanna is close to graduating from high school, so Hanna divides her time between studying, church, work, and family and strives to finish her high school diploma.
Theo Ihonen
Theo, also known as Fuge in the music world, is a 24-year-old artist and DJ from Helsinki. Theo has made his own music and worked as a DJ for the very well-known Cledos since the beginning. While making a breakthrough with his own music, Theo also focuses on training in his spare time. He made an amazing transformation, entering fitness and losing more than 40 kilos of weight.
Elli Kuivala
Elli is a 25-year-old young woman who experienced a major turning point in her life when she suddenly became paralyzed a few years ago. Elli used to dream of the army and was very active, but when she became paralyzed, Elli’s everyday life turned to learning to live in a wheelchair. Elli likes to cook and she owns pet rats, which Elli loves to play with in addition to her friends and family. Elli is very brisk, open and self-motivated, and nothing seems to stop Elli’s cheerfulness!
My world starts on MTV Katsomo on Wed 27.3. Episodes are published three episodes a week on Wednesdays.
Six episodes will be released for MTV Katsomo+ subscribers in the first week, after which the series will be released three episodes a week on Wednesdays.
