The Arket brand, which belongs to the Swedish clothing group Hennes & Mauritz AB, is continuing its international expansion. The label announced on Tuesday that it would open its first store in Spain in the fall. The company chose the Catalan metropolis of Barcelona as the location.
“We are delighted to announce the opening of our first Arket store in Barcelona,” said Pernilla Wohlfahrt, the label’s Managing Director, in a statement. “It will be one of the most important events of the year for us and we look forward to meeting our clients and the local creative community.”
The brand, which was founded in Stockholm in 2017, currently has a total of 27 stores in Europe, China and South Korea. Numerous other international markets are supplied via their own online shops.
