TENNIS – Arianne Hartono failed to win the ITF tennis tournament in Dubai. In the final, the Meppeler lost to the Russian Anastasia Tichonova 1-6 and 4-6.
Hartono is 38 places higher in the world rankings (178 to 216), but got off to a bad start. She only managed to win one game in the first set. Hartono started the match better in the second set, but was unable to force a third set.
In her career so far, Hartono has won three ITF tournaments, the second highest in tennis. This year she won in Setubal, Portugal.
