Keyboard player Ari Taskinen has died at the age of 64. Taskinen’s record company Stupido Records tells about it on its official Facebook page.

According to the release, Taskinen died in Dahab, Egypt.

– Taskinen was found in his hotel room, having died of a seizure. He used to spend winters in Dahab and according to his Facebook profile, this winter in Egypt was already a “30th anniversary winter”, the publication reads.

Born in Helsinki, Taskinen has written and composed, among other things Clown Million a song I want to make love to you. In addition, Taskinen composed the classic hit written by Pelle Miljoona The highway is hot. The aforementioned song won Helsingin Sanomat’s Favorite Rocks poll in 2007.

Taskinen has also made a lot of film and theater music and combined poems with music. The musician also made experimental sound works for Yle in 1985-2005. The musician also practiced and taught sound design.

In addition to Pelle Miljoona, Taskinen has been involved in the groups The Hunters, Threshold and Transistors, among others.
