After “Kingsman”, it is Matthew Vaughn’s latest work – it will be released in cinemas in February 2024.
The spy thriller “Argylle” will be released in cinemas worldwide on February 2, 2024. Now there is a first trailer for the film, which also reveals a large line-up of stars. Also there: singer Dua Lipa, “Superman” actor Henry Cavill and “Jurrasic World” actress Bryce Dallas Howard.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, who was previously responsible for the “Kingsman” film series, Howard plays the introverted novelist Elly Conway, who loves to spend time at home with her cat Alfie (played by Claudia Schiffer’s cat Chip). But when she is contacted by a real intelligence agency, she learns that her fictional stories have – for some inexplicable reason – predicted the organization’s actual missions.
Vaughn was enthusiastic about the plot from the start. “When I read the first draft of the manuscript, I had the feeling that it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books in the 1950s,” the filmmaker explains enthusiastically in a press release about the work. “This will reinvent the spy genre.”
In addition to Dua Lipa, Cavill and Howard, “Argylle” also stars A-listers such as John Cena (“Fast X”), “West Side Story” actress Ariana DeBose, Bryan Cranston from “Breaking Bad” , Catherine O’Hara (” Schitt’s Creek”), “Kingsman” actress Sofia Boutella and Samuel L. Jackson will be part of the story.
