The most interesting game of the day
The CHL’s new superiority rules did not materialize yet on the opening day of the series, when no team was able to score more than one goal during the two-minute superiority period. According to the new rules in the CHL, even a small deficit does not end up in the goal of the superior team.
Today, Luka has a chance to make history as the first team to score two (or more) goals in one season. The possibility is improved by the fact that the difference in level between Luko and Northern Ireland’s Belfast Giants is huge – roughly three goals, conservatively estimated. In addition, the Giants, who play in a very Yankee style, will take the necessary amount of ice in the match with the normal flow of the game. Luko’s absolute strength in this match is his skating and game speed, which the opponent cannot skillfully respond to.
Lukko gets to the match with practically the best possible crew. Belfast Giants play today with four offensive chains and three pairs of defenders. Of note for the Giants is that the team’s top three scorers in the British League last season are missing from the team. Scott Conway (40+50=90) moved to HK Dukla Trencin, and Gabe Bast, who also played in KalPa, or SaiPa in the seasons 2017–2018 and 2018–2019 did not perform very well David Goodwin at least haven’t signed a contract with the team yet. Instead, he played in Mestis last season in JoKP and KeuPa HT Kohei Sato represents the Northern Ireland team this season.
The balance of power in the match is very strongly in Luko’s direction. The people of Rauma will win the match already in regular time with a probability of well over 80 percent. In terms of betting, Luko’s odds are right in the bottom mud. Also, the expected abundance of goals in the match is pretty well within the odds.
Although Luko has quite a bit of game feel from this fall, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of even a real crushing victory here. You won’t get Luko’s thrills as far as over odds, but I consider the 1.90 odds offered for Luko’s over 4.5 goals to be the best bet. Lukko–Belfast Giants kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
The best betting tip of the day
The best searches for Friday’s football games can be found on the goal odds page. Both the Premier League and La Liga offer borderline offers.
In the Luton–West Ham match, Veikkaus offers the highest odds on the market for plenty of goals across the board. Luton is still an unturned card at home in the Premier League, but its away defense has not been enough against Brighton and Chelsea. The team has scored seven goals in two matches.
While West Ham has also scored a lot in their first matches (10 goals in three games), Luton-West Ham does not look like a particularly low-scoring encounter. The 1.91 offered for over 2.5 goals is even a marginal odds. Luton–West Ham kicks off at 10:00 p.m.
Celta is on the La Liga side Even Rafael Benitez continued his quiet and ineffective attacking play under Even though Almeria is a defensively weak team with a generous character, I don’t see this match as an automatic goal. I believe that Benitez is aiming for defensive functionality in this front end and the picture of the game may be surprisingly cautious. The 1.81 offered for under 2.5 goals is also just a little bit on the over-multiplier side. Almeria–Celta starts at 23:00.
