Ardo management: “We also have higher costs”

As with the three other companies, farmers also express their displeasure at Ardo. Ardo’s management shows understanding, but also voices its own concerns. Bernard Haspeslagh, operational director Ardo: “All understanding. We are not going to deny that you are not right. On the contrary, you are right: that is insufficient. But we actually also have the same problems with us.”

Tijl Goens, regional director Ardo: “We are also confronted with the high prices of raw materials, packaging, materials, transport and wages. We also enter into discussions with our customers. We must be able to pass on the extra costs to our customers.”

It is not a really satisfactory answer, the farmers are threatening with even more actions.
