National Team Coach Stefan Kuntz held a press conference before the Latvia match.
Kuntz’s words;
7 of our players joined the camp later. The long season has such disadvantages. We had players to rest and we prepared accordingly.
Our communication with Arda is no different from other players. We talked to Hakan about the Champions League final. At that level, players can leave positive and negative issues aside. Arda Guler is a great actor. He took a serious time recently and showed good performances. He has things to improve. He will be a key player for Türkiye and the Turkish National Team in the future.
I don’t think about things I can’t change. We have two very important matches here and I’m only focused on them.
We have been working with the team for about 20 months. I believe we will put forward a team of a different quality than the last Latvia match.
“THE DEFICIENCY WILL BE REQUIRED”
Enes and Cenk are normally ace players. Inevitably, the team will feel a lack. When we had such shortcomings before, our other players made up for their shortcomings. I think it will be like that tomorrow.
We see that Latvia has made progress. We need to analyze together with the team what they did well and what they did badly. I prefer to discuss these kinds of issues with the team.
