Arco: the National 3D team in Umbria in view of the Terni World Cup

There were 24 blues present at the rally that ended yesterday. For Italy it is a test in view of the world championship of specialties that will be held between Stroncone and the archaeological site of Carsulae

It is one of the lesser known archery specialties, but not one of the least practiced for this reason. The 3D discipline, which includes competition courses surrounded by greenery, with shots on silhouettes of various sizes positioned on a slope and at unknown distances, sees Italy among the best performers in the world. The divisions that take part in this type of competition are the naked bow, the longbow, the compound and the instinctive bow and the blues are considered, medals in hand, real masters.

IN SEPTEMBER THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN ITALY

Suffice it to say that in the medal table for nations of the world and European events, Italy has practically always been on the top steps of the podium. The goal is to do it again this summer, because from 5 to 11 September the 3D World Championship will be organized again in Terni, after the edition held at the Marmore waterfall in 2015. The race courses will be set up in Stroncone, while the wonderful area archeologica di Carsulae will be home to the individual finals, as it already happened on the occasion of a European championship in the field specialty in 2013. Just to probe the state of form of the National team, the technical director Giorgio Botto, assisted by coaches Vincenzo Scaramuzza, Daniele Bellotti and Antonio Tosco , summoned 24 archers who were engaged in a technical meeting organized in Stroncone from Thursday until Sunday 10 April, with some technical insights also carried out in the technical center of the City of Terni Archers, who will be the actual organizers of the world championship. The Italian archers want to follow up on what they did last year, when Italy dominated the medal table of the continental review in Maribor, Slovenia, taking home a total of 4 golds, 3 silvers and 5 bronzes. This summer in Umbria, of course, the competition will be greater, considering that it will be a world championship but, given what the Azzurri have done in the past, Italy will try to stay at the top of the world rankings to maintain its winning tradition, spurred on. from the fact that he will play at home.
