Archers take bronze at the first World Cup | 1Limburg

The Dutch archers have won bronze in the compound section at the start of the World Cup season in Antalya.

The team, consisting of Mike Schloesser from Nuth, Sil Pater and Stef Willems, defeated Great Britain 233-232 in the third place match. Willems made his debut in the World Cup.

Level remained high
“We are happy with this bronze medal. In the semi-finals it was close to France and our level remained high in the bronze final. Willems has made a nice debut,” says national coach Marcel van Apeldoorn.

Dutch women
The Dutch women Sanne de Laat, Martine Stas-Couwenberg and the debutant Laura Schuit lost in the quarterfinals to Estonia and finished fifth.
