In Forst (Spree-Neisse district), a sinister archer kept neighbors and the police in suspense on Thursday: As BZ learned, an employee of the city’s green space office was shot at with an arrow in the morning when he was busy mowing on a green space .
At 11:32 a.m., the man called police and said he was being shot with arrows “as soon as he emptied the sod bag.” The caller went on to say the arrow didn’t hurt him, but that it was an arrow with a sharp metal tip .
Since the archer was apparently a resident of Ringstrasse, who shot at the city employee from his house, special forces moved in and blocked off a large part of the apartment building. The 63-year-old was arrested at his home.
When searching the living quarters, the police found two sports bows, various tomahawks and a blank gun and secured them.
There was also no reliable information on the motive. Apparently the archer was annoyed by the mowing work.
