Archeology days in 8 West Flemish municipalities

In Bruges, the Intermunicipal archeology service Raak unpacked some special discoveries at the site where the BRUSK exhibition hall will soon be built. Centuries of history lie there under the stones. Bruges is steeped in the past. And that means that even archaeologists are regularly faced with surprises.

At this site, the scientists are looking for traces of the hermit Everelmus. A story based on a legend. Some impressive walls and several burial vaults have already been exposed. All things that paint a picture of Bruges’ rich history.

In addition to Bruges, you can also visit seven other municipalities in West Flanders this Pentecost weekend to get acquainted with our past through archeology.
