Tthey adorn the European Archeology Days June 16, 17 and 18 dedicated to all history buffs, but also to all those who want to discover the archaeological heritage of their country. Archeology Days: the beauties of the FAI

For 13 years, this event has been inviting the public to dive into the past, to explore the material traces of societies since Prehistoric times. For three days, in fact, in addition to the thousand events, openings are proposed exceptional excavation siteseducational and recreational activities, meetings with researchers, discoveries of laboratories, exhibitions and screenings.

What to visit, the Abbey of San Fruttuoso

Among the wonders you certainly cannot miss the appointment with theAbbey of San Fruttuoso of Camogli, one of the most important sites in the Liguria region nestled in the eastern Ligurian Riviera. During the visit, the archaeologists who supervised the last excavation sites will explain to visitors what has been discovered. On Saturday, then, you can participate in an archaeological trek that will lead to the discovery of Old Churcha splendid example of early medieval Romanesque architecture.

The archaeological site of Kolymbethra

The Garden of Kolymbethra is a precious archaeological site in the heart of the Valley of the Temples of Agrigento. Special guided tours will be held here on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June to learn about archaeological elements that existed before it became a luxuriant garden as it is today.
