Arcade Fire announce their first concerts for the 20th FUNERAL anniversary

Two gigs are planned so far – one gig will take place in Italy and one in Ireland.

In 2004 Arcade Fire released their debut album FUNERAL. To mark the 20th anniversary of their record, the band has announced that they will play a few concerts – so far, one evening is planned in Rho, near Milan in Italy, and one in Dublin, Ireland.

“Black tie, optional”

The concert news was given by Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara on theirs Instagram account known. There you can currently see two separate posts about it, in the style of a Victorian invitation. Arcade Fire let fans know: “To celebrate our debut album FUNERAL, released 20 years ago, we will be playing a limited number of special concerts and we would be honored if you would join us. Black tie optional; Should be really fun.”

Tickets, support and possible further gigs

As the group is currently suggesting, it could be that the two shows already mentioned will be followed by more. But there is nothing concrete about it yet.

At the gig in the Irish capital, Arcade Fire will be supported by Echo & The Bunnyman; the special guests for Italy have not yet been announced.

If you want to be there in Rho, you should be quick – the ticketpre sales has already started. For Dublin it is available from February 14th here cards. The pre-sale code must be “Funeral20”.
