Arcade Fire have announced their second new single after the double song “The Lightning I, II” released in March. Unconditional I (Lookout Kid), as she is called, is slated for release Wednesday and will premiere on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show. The band from Montreal and New Orleans let you hear an excerpt from it on Instagram in advance:
Arcade Fire have been teasing a new single on their social channels since April 12th. “Unconditional I (Lookout Kid)” premiered live during a surprise performance at this year’s Coachella festival.
Arcade Fire’s sixth album WE will be released on May 6th, 2022, around five years after its predecessor EVERYTHING NOW. It was produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead), along with Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and Reginé Chassagne himself. Guests will include their nine-year-old son, Butler’s mother on harp and Peter Gabriel.
