Soro says that Teruel Existe and the PAR “will be complicit in what happens in the next four years”, which will be decided “in an office from Madrid”

“Investment and government are two different things,” recalls the Chunta leader, who asks Azcón to recognize, “as Feijóo has already done, who depends on Vox”

José Luis Soro has passed this Tuesday through the Cortes of Aragón to meet with Marta Fernández and thus continue with the round of contacts that the president of the Aragonese Parliament is carrying out, whom the leader of Chunta Aragonesista, who will be the spokesman for his group in the next legislature, has announced that it will vote against the investiture of Jorge Azcón. Furthermore, Soro has warned of the confusion that is being created around the investiture.

“We are witnessing a ceremony of confusion in which some, intentionally, to justify their position, mix different things. Investiture and government are two different things”explained the president of CHA, sure that Vox will be the party on which the most important decisions will depend in the next legislature.

“The majority that the investiture allows may coincide with the one that the government later supports or not. Sometimes the majority that allows the investiture is one and the one that later allows the government action is another”. In this case, for the investiture of Azcón “there may be various combinations of rights, but in any case Everything will be decided in a Vox office in Madrid”insisted Soro, who recalled that if Vox abstains “it can be valid with the votes of the PAR and Teruel Existe”, but if the far-right formation decided to vote against or in favor, the votes of the two Aragonese parties would be useless, which would be “irrelevant”.

That is to say, the investiture is decided by Vox, “whatever Teruel Exists and the PAR doeven if Vox decides to let it seem” that they are the ones who decide. “But that is the investiture, the Government of Aragon is something else. “The investiture lasts one dayis a vote in plenary; the government lasts four yearswhich in this case are going to be very long”.

“Whatever the combination of the rights to invest Azcón, the new president will be held hostage by Vox, regardless of whether there are Vox advisers sitting on the Governing Council or not. If they are inside they will send more, but if they are outside they will also decide” because the PP will need Alejandro Nolasco’s party to carry out the budgets.

In other words, Azcón will need the support of the extreme right for the legislature to have stability. Otherwise, it is believed that Vox deputies can turn it into hell. “They will need them to approve the budgets. The bipartite PP-Teruel Existe has 31 seats and even if the PAR is incorporated, it will be insufficient,” recalls Soro.

The bills

the operation would not work out for Azcón, who if he convinced Teruel Existe and PAR (28+3+1) would reach 32. But if Vox (7) voted alongside the PSOE (23), CHA (3), Podemos (1) and IU (1), a total of 35, the investiture would not go ahead. That is why CHA thinks, and by extension the entire left, that the operation that the PP is concocting serves to disguise reality, which will end up turning Vox into Azcón’s fundamental partner, according to the left-wing parties.

Thus, the leader of CHA has warned that the budgets will be decided by Vox, which “will impregnate public policies with its reactionary ideology and its denialist obsessions.”

“We already experienced this in the ninth legislature, when the PSOE and CHA governed in a minority. To approve the budgets we depended on Podemos, which approved the investiture but was left out of the Government. In fact, in 2019 we had no budget, which was a great detriment to the public function. We also depend on them to pass laws or develop many policies. I insist, the policies will depend on Vox, whether or not it is in the Government.”

“He can repeat many times that he wants to govern alone, but it will not be like that, either live or by remote control. It is also true that Mr. Azcón is delighted with this option. But Whoever decides to abstain or vote for Azcon in the investiture will be complicit in what happens in Aragon for the next four years”he said in reference to Teruel Existe and the PAR, formations that the PP leader is courting to carry out the investiture.

CHA has asked the president of the Courts for speed. “It is unjustifiable that the investiture is delayed for a month and all because neither PP nor Vox want it to harm them in the results of the general elections. They’re going to end up together, but they don’t want to stage it before 23J. It will be for something, they will know why they want to avoid that photo “, he has affirmed, that he has asked the president of the Cortes that this Friday, when the round of contacts ends, the date of the investiture plenary session be known, and he has demanded that Azcón “stop making the partridge dizzy and recognize that depends on Vox”. Feijóo has already made it clear, “it would be good if it were also done here in Aragón.”

SORO WILL BE THE SPOKESMAN IN THE COURTS

After eight years as a counselor to the Government of Aragon, José Luis Soro announced this Tuesday that his colleagues from the CHA parliamentary group, Joaquín Palacín and Isabel Lasobras, have appointed him spokesperson for this legislature, a position that he assumes “with the same responsibility, the same desire and the same enthusiasm as eight years ago”.
