Dr. LFM Verhey will become a member of the Council of State and Mr. Dr. E. Helder will become a State Councilor in the Advisory Division. The Council of Ministers has agreed to the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations to nominate them for appointment.

Luc Verhey (62 years old) has been a State Councilor in the Advisory Division since March 1, 2011. He stays that way. He will also become a member of the Council of State. The Council of State consists of the Vice President and a maximum of ten members. This so-called ‘constitutional’ Council performs ceremonial and formal duties. The substantive tasks have been assigned by law to the Advisory Division and the Administrative Jurisdiction Division.

Eric Helder (age 66) has been a State Councilor in the Administrative Jurisdiction Division since 15 June 2010. He will remain a State Councilor, but will leave the Administrative Jurisdiction Division and transfer to the Advisory Division.

The appointments take effect on the date of signature of the Royal Decree.
