Mr. Dr. E. Helder becomes a member of the Council of State. The Council of Ministers has agreed to the proposal of Minister De Jonge of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in agreement with Minister Weerwind for Legal Protection to nominate him for appointment.
Eric Helder (67 years old) has been a State Councilor in the Administrative Jurisdiction Division since 2010. In June 2023, he became a State Councilor in the Advisory Division. He will remain that way, but he will also become a member of the Council of State. The Council of State consists of the vice president and a maximum of ten members. This so-called ‘constitutional’ Council fulfills ceremonial and formal tasks. The substantive tasks are assigned by law to the Advisory Division and the Administrative Jurisdiction Division.
The appointment will take effect on November 1, 2023.
