Mr PJ (Pieter) Duisenberg RC will become president of the Court of Audit. At the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), the Council of Ministers has agreed to nominate Mr Duisenberg for appointment as a member of the Board and also as president. The appointment will take effect on 1 September 2023.
On 10 May 2023, the House of Representatives nominated Mr Duisenberg as a member of the Board of the Court of Audit. Following consultation with the Board members of the Court of Audit, Mr Duisenberg is also appointed as president, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
Pieter Duisenberg has been chairman of the Association of Universities of the Netherlands since 1 October 2017. Before that he was a member of the House of Representatives of the States General.
