Mrs. A.Th.B. (Ank) Bijleveld becomes the new chairman of the Chapter for the Civil Orders. On the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Kingdom Council of Ministers has decided to nominate her for appointment. The appointment will take effect on March 1, 2023.
Ms Bijleveld is currently acting mayor of Almere.
Until September 1, 2022, Mr JG (Jaap) de Hoop Scheffer was chairman of the Chapter for the Civil Orders. Mr PACM (Peter) van der Velden, member of the Chapter for the Civil Orders, will act as chairman until the appointment of Ms Bijleveld takes effect.
