At the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Council of Ministers has agreed to nominate Mr AJ (Arjen) Gerritsen for appointment as Commissioner of the King in the province of Flevoland. The date of appointment is November 1, 2023.

Mr Gerritsen is 53 years old and a member of the VVD. He is currently mayor of the municipality of Almelo.
Mr. Leen Verbeek (PvdA) is currently the King’s Commissioner in the province of Flevoland.
