On the recommendation of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), the Council of Ministers has appointed Martijn van Dam as a member of the Political Party Finance Supervision Committee (Ctfpp). The appointment will take effect on 1 June 2023.
The Ctfpp advises the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations on the implementation of the Political Parties Financing Act. The committee consists of 3 members who are appointed for a maximum of 4 years. Members can be reappointed twice, also for a maximum of 4 years per period.
Martijn van Dam was, among other things, deputy party leader in the House of Representatives of the States General for the Labor Party and State Secretary for Economic Affairs. From 2017, Van Dam was active as chairman of the Supervisory Board Fairtrade Netherlands, member of the Board of Directors NPO, member of the Supervisory Board CZ Groep and director of the foundation Nederlandse Datakluis.
Van Dam succeeds Ed Anker. Anker has been a member of the Committee since its establishment in 2014 and has served as chairman in recent years.
