Mr. GLC Schoop is appointed attorney general at the Public Prosecution Service of Curaçao, Sint Maarten and Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The Kingdom Council of Ministers agreed to this at the proposal of Minister Yeşilgöz-Zegerius of Justice and Security.
Mr. Schoop is currently deputy chief public prosecutor for Curaçao. He previously served as a prosecutor at the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Netherlands Antilles and for Curaçao. There, his portfolio included drug-related investigations, capital crimes, human trafficking and money laundering.
Mr. Schoop will take up the position of Attorney General as of February 1, 2024.
