René Steenvoorden will join the Executive Board of UWV on 1 October 2023. He will be appointed to this position for the period until 1 October 2028. Minister Van Gennip of Social Affairs and Employment has reported the appointment to the Council of Ministers.
In this role he will focus on the development, modernization and improvement of ICT at UWV and on data-driven working.
René Steenvoorden (55) was Chief Digital Officer and member of the Executive Board at Randstad, where he left in October 2022. Before that, he was CIO at Rabobank and Essent, among others. After his departure from Randstad, he and two partners founded XperieSense, an intermediary agency for older IT professionals on the labor market, also to combat shortages. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of the Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Steenvoorden studied Business Administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
