Koen Davidse will be the new Director General of Policy at the Ministry of Defence. The Council of Ministers has approved the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment will take effect on 1 November 2023.
Koen Davidse has been an administrator at the World Bank in Washington since 2018. Before that, he was Assistant UN Secretary General and Deputy Head of the UN peacekeeping mission Minusma in Mali. He previously held the positions of Director of Multilateral Institutions and Human Rights and Director of Peacebuilding at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Koen Davidse studied Political Science and International Relations at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
