At the proposal of Minister Hoekstra of Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers has approved the appointment of a new ambassador to Kazakhstan. The appointment will not be final until the Kazakh government has given its approval.
The new ambassador, based in Astana, is Nico Schermers. He is now ambassador to Armenia.
