How was your approach to VR?

I have been working with hypnosis for more than 20 years, when virtual reality began to be talked about in other countries, I said to myself… why can I work the same with hypnosis?

One day I delved into the subject and I realized that we can offer many possibilities to the patient since there are people with difficulties to visualize and with virtual reality that problem does not exist. Something in its favour, also, the speed with which a problem began to work, just by putting on the visor and the person is there, in that place gradually facing the object of which they are afraid or develop a phobia

In what cases do you use Virtual Reality?

I use it a lot with people who have to overcome a phobia, but also with hierarchical company personnel who have to speak in public or students who have to take exams. I have given it a different use with bedridden older adults who were happy to be able to go for a walk with virtual reality, anywhere in the world.

How does virtual reality work?

It is scientifically proven that in both hypnosis and virtual reality, there are areas of the brain that are activated just like when something is actually happening. The only difference is that the activation occurs in approximately 60%, but that is more than enough for the treatment to be highly effective. Before the development of Virtual Reality, experiences were already made in which, for example, a basketball player trained physically and another trained physically and mentally, both players being of a similar level, it was observed that whoever trained mentally, their performance It was something superior to the other person.

This reminds me of something I saw in another of the notes…

Sometimes I get critical when an athlete is asked before a match about the last time he lost against that opponent since they bring to the present a physiology that is not adequate for the match that he will have in minutes… it is like always asking someone for the trauma you once had.

It is very important that people learn to manage their thoughts and resolve their traumas because… if I got really bad because they threw me out in a subject, the day I have to take it again, if I prepare myself and also visualize or train with reality virtual feeling good speaking in public, as if I were giving that exam, I will be helping from my physiology to make the future situation better.

Somehow if I train with VR, I will be able to improve the activation of my nervous system so that I can face the situation feeling better… I would face it with the right state of mind, known as BEING IN THE ZONE, a state in which one flows, things come out naturally since for that one has prepared himself mentally and with his sports training, studying before an exam, learning to use a risk machine, and even preparing a presentation for the directors of a company.
