A 19-year-old Tennessee man has been arrested in the United States on charges of persecuting and tracking his partner using an Apple Watch.
The news WSMV4 news channel according to the man had attached the watch to the rim of his ex-girlfriend’s car. The couple had previously used Life360 to see each other’s location. After the Woman had disabled the app, the man was enraged and sent aggressive messages to her demanding that the woman state her whereabouts.
According to the WSMV, the woman had been in contact with the authorities on several occasions in the past and applied for a restraining order, alleging that the man had tried to kill her several times. The man has been charged with two cases of domestic violence last year.
Police were said to have found the man squatting next to the woman’s car. The man had previously installed an intelligent watch between the surfaces of the car’s front wheel rim that had allowed him to track the woman’s movements. The man admitted to installing the watch.
