Apple Store in Amsterdam will not open again until Friday

The Apple branch on Leidseplein, where there was an hour-long hostage situation on Tuesday, will remain closed for a number of days. This can be seen on the Apple Store website.

An overview of the opening times states that the building will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. An opening is not planned until Friday, from 10 a.m.

Apple has not yet officially commented on the incident. A man was held hostage for hours and threatened with a weapon. He was able to escape and was brought to safety. The hostage taker was overpowered and taken away in an ambulance after being hit by a police car.
