With Apple CarPlay, you can access your favorite apps, send and receive messages, make and receive calls, listen to music and navigate with maps. To activate Apple CarPlay, you need an iPhone 5 or higher (with at least iOS 7.11) and connection to the car’s USB port with an Apple cable, Lightning to USB. Also, you need to enable Wi-Fi on your iPhone and select the CarPlay network. Finally, you need to go to Settings-General-CarPlay and choose the car to associate with your smartphone. More specifically, to connect your iPhone with the Renault Captur’s Apple CarPlay you can use the R-Link 2 multimedia system. First of all, you need to make the device visible by selecting “Settings” – “Bluetooth” – “Activate”; from the R-Link 2 screen, you need to access “Menu” and then “Phone”, then authorize the Bluetooth connection between the system and the device by selecting the iPhone from the displayed list.
