Appendix and Corona: BTS member Jimin hospitalized

South Korean K-pop musician Jimin was hospitalized on Monday January 31 for acute appendicitis. This was announced by the agency of the member of the boy band BTS.

Jimin is said to have complained of symptoms such as abdominal pain and a mild sore throat. His agency “Big Hit Entertainment” announced to his fans that the operation went without complications. In addition, the singer had also tested positive for the corona virus. He would now recover from the procedure and the infection.

In addition to a sore throat, his corona disease would have no other symptoms. Jimin is certainly still in inpatient treatment. Further information about his health status is not known.

Last December, his band members RM, Jin and Suga also tested positive for the corona virus. Jimin is thus the fourth of seven members who has been infected with the corona virus. Fan club ARMY have already sent the singer their get well wishes on Twitter using the hashtag #GetWellSoonJimin as Jimin continues to recover in the hospital ward.
