Appearing on Saturday Night Live is a real honor for many celebrities – especially when they’re invited to host the popular sketch comedy show. That task was taken on this week (October 21) by Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny. And as if that wasn’t exciting enough for the audience, there were a few more celebrity surprises.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was joined by some big stars during the show as he hosted the live show. But another big dream came true for the artist. The musician is a big fan of Lady Gaga – she announced his live performance of “Un Preview” with the words “Puerto Rico y todo el corillo, Bad Bunny!” (translated: “Puerto Rico and the whole group, Bad Bunny!” ) at.
“Saturday Night Live”: Mick Jagger as a nun and telenovela star
Mick Jagger also appeared on “Saturday Night Live” in the “Telenovela” sketch with Bad Bunny. Both were seen as soap opera actors alongside comedian Marcello Hernandez, with Jagger playing the villainous father with a mustache who hands out slaps.
The Rolling Stones musician also appeared in the sketch “Convent Meeting” – a humorous parody of “Sister Act 3” in which he drives the convent crazy with his hip swing.
NBC’s comedy show opened with a monologue from Bad Bunny, during which “The Last of Us” star Pedro Pascal also showed up to help translate and give the music star amusing advice for his opening act.
Pascal later also played the Puerto Rican rapper’s overprotective mother.
Bad Bunny, who previously appeared as a guest on SNL in 2021, recently released his fifth studio album called “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana” (translated: “Nobody Knows What Will Happen Tomorrow”). His 2022 album “Un Verano Sin Ti” (“A Summer Without You”) topped the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks.
