FC Bayern is apparently leaving no stone unturned to bring Sadio Mané’s targeted mega transfer as soon as possible. A phone call between the Senegalese and Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann is said to have brought further progress.
More persuasion is hardly possible: after “skyJulian Nagelsmann personally phoned the courted Liverpool star Sadio Mané for information. The 30-year-old showed no airs and graces and left a lasting impression.
According to this, Mané, who is considered to be very modest and is also revered as a national hero in his homeland because of his social commitment, has also shown himself to be very flexible.
When asked in which position he sees himself, he is said to have answered that he plays where he is needed. “Mané wants to go to Bayern Munich and has clearly signaled in the talks: I just want to move to Munich,” it said.
Liverpool FC dissatisfied with offers from FC Bayern
According to media reports, Liverpool had recently rejected a second offer from FC Bayern. The German record champions are said to have increased their first offer from 25 million to 30 million pounds (around 35 million euros) including bonus payments. This fee should include premiums of up to 7.5 million euros.
The Premier League club coached by Jürgen Klopp still thinks the offer is too low and is particularly bothered by the fact that the conditions for the bonus payments offered are unrealistic, it said.
The newspaper “The Times” wrote that Liverpool only wanted to enter into negotiations with a bid of 42.5 million pounds (about 50 million euros). But the Reds are also ready to accommodate Bayern.
Gnabry and Lewandowski before leaving Bayern?
Mané’s move to Munich has been speculated for weeks. The superstar is traded as a potential successor to Serge Gnabry, whose future in Munich is still uncertain.
Mané could also replace goalgetter Robert Lewandowski, who is willing to change. His contract in Liverpool runs until June 30, 2023.
