Aphex Twin has released Blackbox Life Recorder 21f, their first new music in five years. And that’s not enough news: The accompanying EP BLACKBOX LIFE RECORDER 21F / IN A ROOM7 F760 will be released via Warp Records from July 28th.

Aphex Twin, whose real name is Richard David James, premiered the track at Barcelona’s Sónar Festival, where it performed on June 16, 2023, marking its first live performance in four years.

EP BLACKBOX LIFE RECORDER 21F / IN A ROOM7 F760 will be Aphex Twin’s first release since EP COLLAPSE in 2018 and will include three more tracks.

The experimental DJ has been active in the techno scene for over 30 years. His first album SELECTED AMBIENT WORKS 85-92 was released in 1992. He is touring Europe this summer and will be performing at London’s Field Day Festival on August 19th, the day after his 52nd birthday.
