A fire broke out in an apartment complex on Nieuwe Inslag in Breda on Saturday evening. Residents of surrounding apartments had to leave their homes. The police have arrested a man. He is one of the residents and is suspected of arson.
The fire broke out just before half past seven. The fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control. The suspect was slightly injured. He was checked in the ambulance and then taken to the police station. The man appeared confused to officers, police report.
A number of apartments in the complex had to be evacuated. The residents are cared for at a care center nearby.
