Woonservice is going to build twelve apartments and eight homes for social rent on the site of the old Karspelhuus in Beilen.
The apartment complex on the edge of the center of Beilen will consist of three floors. The twelve homes in the complex are intended for rental and are particularly suitable for small households and seniors. The homes for social rent will come in two blocks of four homes.
Terraced houses and the old Karspelhuus, which was used for years for the activities of Welzijnswerk Midden-Drenthe, stood on the now vacant lot. The buildings were demolished in recent years.
The construction of homes in Jade B, as the area is called, is the final piece of the approach to the northern part of the Beiler center, where housing and care are central. Previously, the Spectrum residential care center was built there and houses were built on both sides of De Vos van Steenwijkstraat.
