50 firefighters on duty
A fire broke out on Thursday afternoon on the 5th floor of an 11-storey apartment building on Wittenauer Strasse.
According to the fire brigade, the fire was quickly extinguished, but the emergency services found a lifeless person in the apartment.
According to the fire department, the rescue workers had tried unsuccessfully to revive the woman. Any help came too late for them. More information about the circumstances of death or the cause of the fire were not initially known on Thursday.
The fire brigade was on site with 50 emergency services. Other people were not in danger.
